Dewy vs. Matte (*google images*)

Dewy vs. Matte (*google images*)

I have always been a big fan of a matte finish, and putting a highlighter on my face makes me look shiny and oily. I never thought I will purchase my own highlighter.
But then, something got into me and I decided to try the dewy look. I have read that it makes the face look younger and healthier. A matte finish makes it more obvious that you are wearing makeup, and I don’t want that now. 🙂
So, I started buying face makeup – like foundation and BB creams that have dewy finishes. I want to experience the “glow” they will bring to my face. The first product I purchased was the  L’Oreal Paris Lucent Magique BB Skin Illuminating BB Cream. I don’t have a review or demo of it yet, but I must say, I like it! I also bought the L’Oreal Lucent Magique Light Infusing Foundation because of a lot of good reviews about it.
So back to my real post… I bought the TheBalm Mary-Lou-Manizer from Stuff in Stylemy trusted seller from way back Multiply days. I like it because it is multi-purpose. It can be used as a highlighter, shimmer, and eyeshadow! It also has a lot of products in it, 8.5g to be exact.

As you can see, it is not glittery, but rather, shimmery. It is so smooth, and pigmented. A little goes a long way!

They say highlighters can make your pores look more visible, so watch out for that. I have been a fan of this highlighter since I bought it. I always bring it with me. 😛 I love how it makes my face glow without looking like a disco ball.

Convinced?

Let me know if you have tried or liked this product.

Until my next post!

Stay Gorgeous!

This is absolutely one of the best highlighters on the market. I don’t think it gets as much attention that it deserves. I would pick this over MAC soft and gentle anyday.

This is my favorite highlighter of all time, which reminds me. Your post reminded me to buy a new pan again! ( I hit it the first time!)

I’m researching on this right now. It looks to have a similar visual effect (subtle gold sheen) as Benefit’s Watt’s Up. I really want the latter, especially after having tried their sample sized one, but PHP 1,600. Yikes. This is looking more accessible right about now. I don’t mind a powder formula over a stick.
Also, big fan of the simulated dewy look. But I’m combination, so I hate my nose after four hours. I prefer to keep it matte and just fake it with a highlighter. :))

You won’t regret getting this! I have used it a lot but never hit pan, plus you can use it as eyeshadow too! 🙂
