ColourPop Cosmetics has been in the market for a couple of years now, but this is my first ever post/review of their products. It’s not that I don’t like them but a lot of new products come and I get so distracted! I’ve been using their eyeshadows, blush, bronzer, ultra matte lippies, and lippie stix since I got them last year. Let us review these new COLOURPOP ULTRA SATIN LIPS first since they are very hot right now! These were recently released and there are now 19 shades to choose from! You can find them all here.
I pre-ordered this lipstick from HeyLarrStore on Instagram for 400 pesos. You can find these lippies on Shopee App and other Instagram stores too!
What ColourPop says:
Our Ultra Satin Lip is a lightweight, bold lipstick with a Satin finish. A super comfortable feel and healthy satin look for your lips. Ultra Satin Lip has a crazy high percentage of pigments for extra intense color saturation. This lipstick is extremely long wearing, although not completely kiss proof– you may leave some marks on your coffee cup!
Start by prepping the lips with Lippie Primer, this will moisturize the lips and improve the texture – providing a smooth surface so that your Ultra Satin Lip goes on smoothly and lasts all day! Next, line with Lippie Pencil to perfect the lip line and fill lips in with Ultra Satin Lip.

ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Frick N’ Frack is a rosy terracotta shade. This fits perfectly on all skin tones, in my opinion, and especially on us, Asian people with warm undertones. One layer is already intense, and the pigments are really saturated! It feels like mousse on the lips, and it is definitely lightweight but with a slight tackiness when you press your lips. It sets on the lips but it won’t totally dry down to a powdery finish.
Frick N’ Frack goes a bit darker when I wear it on my lips. ColourPop lipsticks usually oxidize on my lips but they do not really make it look so different from the original pigment which is a good thing. Some shades really look different from the tube versus when I wear them on my lips. So a nice tip would be to research first, and look for pictures on the internet, or Instagram, for more accurate swatches!
While they are not transfer-proof, they still stay on the lips and still looks almost the same when you eat or drink. They are still hard to wipe off with a tissue! I love that they don’t create a blank space on the inner lips when I eat but there’s obviously a slight fading.
The scent of this lipstick is like crayons. How I wish that it is a sweet vanilla scent! Many people ask me if I like this more than the Ultra Matte Lippies, and my answer is YES! This is very comfortable on the lips, and it does not make my lips dry and chapped.
If you like a shade or two, I definitely urge you to buy! LOL! These lipsticks are worth a try and for keeps!!!
Next review will be Echo Park! Until my next post!
