The best highlight of my 2015 was our family’s travel to South Korea. We stayed there for 4 nights. It was so quick! I would have stayed there for one or more weeks if only I have lots of money, but no. Nevertheless, it was a very memorable experience for us. I am so happy to have travelled with my family. I love creating a lot of memories with them and so far, we’ve been to three countries together, and counting!
Aside from visiting the famous tourist destinations, I cannot pass up not shopping at Myeong-dong! Myeongdong is in Jung-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is mostly a commercial area, being one of Seoul’s main shopping and tourism districts.
Today, let me share what I bought there mostly, and some at other places like Olive Young and Lotte Mart. I apologize if I cannot give all the exact prices because the receipts are written in Korean but, the prices are more affordable there than in our local counters in the Philippines. More affordable, but not at all cheap! Let’s say, you can save at least a few hundred pesos per item. Not bad, really! I would have bought more if I hadn’t stopped myself but I guess, I really bought a lot already. You’ll be the judge! Haha!
First stop was Tony Moly! I really want to try the Tony Moly Banana Sleeping Pack and another shade of the Tony Moly Shocking Lip Perfect Lips in Ruby. I already have the Red shade, and Loooove it!
Next, banila co.! I need to buy a big tub of the clean it zero! This award-winning cleanser goes on as a solid balm and transforms into a silky oil on the skin. I’ve used this from a sample that I got back when I bought some items from beautynetkorea, and I love this too. This biggest tub costs more or less P1,000.00. I saved a few bucks than buying here, definitely!
I went to Club Clio next because I want the Clio Kill Brow! I added the Clio Kill Brown Waterproof Brush Liner because of the free mascara! I also saw the peripera peri’s tint in Cherry Juice so I bought it too because I am curious about it for a while now. Got a free Kill Cover sample, YAY!
I went crazy at innisfree! I am so curious about their products so I bought a lot. I actually want to buy more from them because of the raves, but I need to pick the best first! I hope that they will have a local store here too.
I need to put the famous innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask in my cart. I haven’t tried it yet, but I will soon! Will review it for you, if you like. I also bought the innisfree no-sebum mineral pact because I need it for my oily T-zone. I already have this in the loose powder version.
Here’s what innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask looks like.
My Korean haul will not be complete without face masks so I bought a pack of 32 for only P40.00 each! These are sold for P140.00 if I recall correctly! Face masks are all the rage on every brand. Each of them has great deals, and they give them as samples too!
I also watched one YouTube vlogger use the innisfree Tinted Dual Brow, and innisfree Ultrafine Browcara so I bought them as well. The tinted brow works like a brow tattoo. It leaves a tint and is very long lasting!
Here’s the tinted brush side. The other side is the usual brow mascara of the same shade.
I cannot forget Etude House! I got three things on my list: The Etude House Lash Perm Curl Fix Mascara, Etude House Face Blur, and Color Lips-fit in Red. I also bought the Curl Fix Mascara Remover because I read somewhere that the mascara is freaking hard to remove! They gave me a bunch of samples too. Yayyyy!
I also made a quick stop at Olive Young. Olive Young is like Watsons. They are everywhere in Korea. They sell the famous Berrisom Lip Tattoos and some other drugstore products. I bought the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara and one Berrisom Lip Tattoo (as pasalubong) there.
Our last stop was Lotte Mart. They have a small makeup area there, so I checked it out. Few things that I bought were the Davidoff Cool Water 30ml, Giverny Sweet Wish Super Deep Black Eyeliner and 6.10 Bomb Sticks. The 6.10 Bomb Sticks Primer Lip Balm (Pink) is AMAZING and I highly recommend you get that when you go to Korea!!!
I hope you enjoyed reading! What product would you like me to review next? Are you a fan of Korean beauty too? I am definitely going back to Korea! Maybe in Spring?!!!
