I can’t live without eyeshadows anymore! I look more alive and prettier when I have them on, even when I am just wearing some neutral shades. If you follow me on Instagram @plumpcheeksblog, you already know that I take a selfie almost everyday not just because I am vain (haha!), but to share my makeup of the day! I usually get inspirations from Pinterest, or Instagram based on the shade of my lipstick.
Before I share my latest EOTD, I want to share my latest unboxing. About two weeks ago, I received my Glamourbox “Eye of Horus” exclusive box. This box contains five full-sized items, which I got for only Php 695! It is very affordable box because the eyeliner alone costs Php 990. I think that it is still available from their website if you want one! Click HERE!
The theme of this box is “Eye Love It!” which obviously focuses more on how to define the eyes. Come unbox with me and see my EOTD!
Teal Malachite Goddess Pencil (Php 990)
“Mesmerize with ancient Metallic Malachite, the teal crystal of love. Adorn and enhance your eyes with this hypnotic shimmering jewel-like formula. Glides effortlessly, waterproof, smudgeproof, and long-lasting. Paraben-free.”
I am so happy that they included the Teal Malachite Goddess Pencil. I’ve read a bunch of raves about all their eye liners but I always resist buying one because of the price. Thank the makeup goddesses because I was able to own one now! Yes, it glides effortlessly, waterproof, smudge-proof, and long-lasting!
Eye of Horus sharpener (Php 295)
“German-made custom sharpener that delicately sharpens with precision.”
It’s nice to have a sharpener dedicated for this pencil. The sharpener is well-made and has a cap that will prevent messing up my makeup bag. Sweet!
Eye of Horus Goddess Mascara (Php 990)
“If you’re after natural mascara that won’t run, smudge or clump, Eye of Horus goddess mascara is exactly what you are looking for. Formulated in the style of the ancient Egyptians, Eye of Horus Mascara uses natural, non-irritating ingredients, making it ideal for sensitive eyes. It strengthens and lengthens for ultimate Goddess lashes.”
I like a rubber-tip mascara because it grabs all my eyelashes and gives a nice curl. The wand of this Eye of Horus Goddess Mascara is quite similar to Benefit They’re Real Mascara which I really like. I haven’t used this yet, but will definitely post my review about it.
Eye of Horus Ankh Necklace, Php 580
“The Ankh symbolizes the breath of life and the key to the Nile. It often appeared in Egyptian tomb paintings and their art, and connects to strength and health. Add some sparkle to that #ootd with this Egyptian-inspired accessory!”
I did not expect to get a necklace in the box but this one is nice to have. I love the gold color and how long the chain is. I’ve worn it once already!
Eye of Horus Facial Bamboo Mitt, Php 480
“Scrub those dead cells away with our exclusive Facial Bamboo Mitt, guaranteed to leave skin soft and smooth after each use”
This one’s a bit out of place but I’ll still use it. I can’t believe this cost 480! I usually use loofah to exfoliate, but this one might be useful to those with sensitive skin.
And now for the EOTD (Eye of the Day!)…
I posted this picture on Instagram last Saturday (after work!), and again, it was inspired by the book “eye candy” by Linda Mason. It’s a nice book to create playful looks, and if you are running out of ideas! The look I did is called “Eye Contact”. The colors used were Olive, Bright Green, and Matte Burgundy Red.
The products I used were marked with stars. 🙂 The Covergirl Intense Shadowblast Primer + Rich Shadow is my favorite base when I use the green shade from the Wet N Wild Comfort Zone palette because it helps it pop out more. I used the Matte brown shade from the itsJudytime eyeshadow palette on my bottom lash line. The star of the look is the Eye of Horus Teal Malachite Goddess Pencil that I used as my eyeliner.
I was able to test the longevity of the Goddess Pencil, and it really held up until I removed all my makeup. Definitely an impressive product!
Anyhow, this was a long post, but hope you enjoyed reading! I hope to post more EOTDs instead of hauls in the coming days, but we’ll see!
Have a great week!
