HAPPY TUESDAY!
I mentioned on Twitter before that MAC Cosmetics will have its own boutique at SM North EDSA soon! GREAT! But…not really since I will always be tempted to go inside to buy more makeup that I don’t need that my eyes will fancy. You can always find me wandering around SM because that’s where me and my hubs usually shop and buy groceries. The MAC pop-up booth has been there for months but I never go near it because I told myself that I don’t need more makeup, and I can buy MAC cheaper online. One day, I gave in and the damage has been done.
So here I am reviewing another lipstick, and this is a lipstick that I never thought that I will buy. I tried it on, and got sold. Love at first swipe, I should say. I thought that I can never pull off this color, but I am totally wrong! I suggest that you try it on first before buying so that you will know its magic. *wink*
MAC “Heroine” Lipstick (Php 1,000) is a bright purple shade with a matte finish. Temptalia said that it is a medium-dark, red toned purple with a satin finish.
It is soooooo pretty! I like that it doesn’t look just a plain opaque purple on my lips but rather a pinky-purple shade. It looks more wearable during the day or in the office. It glides on so smoothly on my lips, but one swipe gives a slightly uneven finish. It needs to be layered to be more opaque.
Longevity like all other MAC matte lipsticks is great. It can last a long time, sans eating and drinking. It leaves a stain as it fades so it will not leave the lips patchy. Is it worth it? A big yes! I am definitely buying more MAC lipsticks until I die can. Hihi.
I definitely urge you to grab this shade. You’ll love it!
