As promised, here’s a review about my latest lipstick buy from the newest brand in the market, CATRICE. CATRICE is a brand that was first launched in Germany, and cosnova Beauty is the company behind this brand and essence. I have read about CATRICE from different foreign beauty bloggers, and a lot of good things on their products. Of course, when I learned that Watsons carries this brand, I readily bought some few items to try.
I HAVE to try their lipstick line first, so I bought my very first shade from the Ultimate Colour Lipstick range, Pink Me Up! I chose this color because I usually wear this for everyday, and I love wearing this shade. I bought this at Watsons, SM North Edsa, The Block for Php 299.00.
The texture and finish of this lipstick is smooth and creamy. It reminds me of MAC Cremesheens, and Revlon Super Lustrous Creme lipsticks. Staying power is quite similar too. It will not slide off easily, but will rub off when eating and drinking.
Pigmentation is buildable. Two swipes work best for me. Even if Catrice is a sister company of essence, the lipstick formula is way better with Catrice. One thing that I like as well is that it doesn’t dry my lips, but gives it moisture. Because of its smooth and creamy texture, it wears so much comfortably on my lips.
The shade Pink Me Up reminds me so much of Revlon Cherries in the Snow. It is a bright reddish pink, but the brightness is perfect for everyday wear (at least for me!). I feel more beautiful with deeper shades, unlike nudes. Nude bores me to death. LOL! I wanted to get my hands on the other shades because I am so impressed, but we’ll see!
The packaging is not cheap at all! It is very sturdy, and classy. I like the tube. It is not heavy but it has a weight to it. It is again, way better than essence’s plastic packaging. I can’ rave more than enough about it.
Overall, I love this lipstick!!! It is a great addition to my endlessly growing collection. I highly recommend trying Catrice’s lipsticks. If you get them, let me know what you think!
Hope this review helped!
Have a great weekend! 🙂
