Violet/Purple Lips Picks!

Hello, my gorgeous readers! I know that you are very excited for the weekend! I am too! Gotta prepare for more exciting posts over the weekend for you all. *wink*. My blog makes me happy and it relieves my stress. I hope you enjoy reading my ramblings, and obsession about beauty and life.
So let us now go over my picks on violet or purple lipsticks. Violet or Purple color is in between Red and Blue. There are a lot of colors in this family. The lip products I chose belong to the Violet or Purple family. I am not sure why I suddenly liked this color. I thought that it was not a flattering color before but it is definitely something I want to get used to wearing at least once in a while.
The first on my list is the L’oreal Shine Caresse in Milady.

This lip product combines the texture & shine of a gloss with the long wear of a stain.

L’oreal says: The unique formula comprised of 30% water and 60% oil provides an exceptionally high level of moisture, allowing for 6hr hydration. Concentrated soluble colour pigments create a subtle wet look with a weightless feeling on lips.

Next product is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling.

Revlon says “It’s a pampering balm fused with a lightweight lipstain in an adorable chubby crayon. Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain gives softer, smoother lips with a perfect flush of color that lasts hour after hour. The gel formula comes in 12 vibrant shades that match any look or mood.”

This was given to me by my sister Dre, and this was my first shade from the line. I use it a lot and I am almost at the end of the tube. I liked this Revlon balm stains a lot, and I own almost all the shades because they are perfect for everyday wear! It keeps my lips moisturized, and the staying power is really superb! Highly recommended!
The third one is one of my favorites, because it is from Rihanna’s Riri Hearts MAC Summer collection.


This is the shade RiRi Boy. It has a Retro Matte formula, meaning it has a soft, creamy texture that glides easily, but it has a drier texture than matte but wears for about six hours on the lips. It has a vibrant and good color pay off, and leaves behind a staining effect.

I super love this lipstick, and it makes me want more MAC lipsticks! Oh no! 😛 I also have two other shades from this collection, RiRi Woo, and Heaux, that I will probably make a review later on.
Last, but definitely not the least, is the OCC Lip Tar in Hoochie!

Hoochie is an extreme Magenta shade. This lip tar is from my OCC Lip Tar V2 set. There are 4 other shades on this set.

This is a liquid matte lipstick and it gives a very opaque coverage even with the smallest amount applied on my lips. I seriously just used like a dot to cover my entire lips! This tube will definitely last me a lifetime! I love this lip tar so much, and it is my top pick from all on this post. It really screams VIOLET when worn on the lips. I have to tone it down a bit, though once when I went to work. But I will definitely wear this more often. 🙂
