Aritaum Ginger Sugar Lip Scrub Review!

For those who love lipsticks like me, taking care of the lips should be part of the skincare routine. I often have dry, chapped lips because of some lipsticks, mostly by tints and liquid lipsticks so I occasionally use lip scrubs to remove all the dead skin and dry flakes on my lips. I only know a few brands that have lip scrubs so I got curious about this lip scrub from Aritaum. The Aritaum’s Ginger Sugar Lip Scrub is a gentle exfoliator that removes dead skin cells from the delicate lip area. It costs about Php260 at the Althea PH website and each tub has 12 grams of product.

Claims:

1. Natural sugar beads and walnut peel powder thoroughly remove dead skin cells from the lips.

2. Rich in shea butter to form a hydrating barrier on the lips to hydrate lips after exfoliation.

3. This formula is free of artificial fragrance and synthetic colorants.

Packaging

A small tub containing 12 grams of product with a screw cap. It is tightly sealed so it prevents any leaks. It has a protective sticker to ensure that no one has opened it and the product expires after two years if not used.

Scent

It does not have any artificial fragrance or colorants. It tastes so sweet because of the obvious, sugar. Lols.

Before

In action (duck face alert!!!)

How To Use: Apply a small amount onto lips and gently work it in using circular motions for a minute or two, then gently wash away or wipe away with a cloth.

After

 Texture

The consistency of the product is thick and the sugar bits are quite big but, it was not hard to massage it in a circular motion on my lips. I love the shea butter in it because it makes it stick to my lips while massaging. It did not make a mess while I’m scrubbing those dry flakes away. I love that its as if it melted the dry flakes so I was able to completely remove them all.

Bang for your buck

I know that you can make DIY lip scrubs out of sugar and honey, but, I think that this ginger lip scrub is better because aside from removing all the dry flakes, it made my lips soft, hydrated and smooth afterward. A small tub can last a long time because of its thick consistency. For Php260, I do think that it was worth every coin spent!

For more hydration, the Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask would complement this lip scrub!

Hope this review helped! Let me know if you have a holy grail lip scrub or tips on how to take care of your puckers!
