Alexis Ren x ColourPop Blotted Lip Review and Swatches!

Colourpop never runs out of ideas. I have tried almost all their formula yet, they came up with another “unique” one. I got curious that is why I got all the three shades. It is not the same as their famous liquid lipsticks, so I thought, I want to give them a try.

I bought them all at the official website for $5.00 each. Colourpop offers free international shipping for orders $50 and up! I claimed my package at the post office and paid the postal fee of I believe, P120.00. Most of the time, our mailman brings it at our home, and we just pay him the postal fee. He is our mailman ever since, so he gladly brings our parcels to our home. 🙂

According to Colourpop’s website…

BLOTTED LIP is a sheer matte lipstick that leaves a naturally chic tint. It creates a blotted lipstick look that you can build to desired intensity, leaving lips looking diffused and feeling super comfortable.

FINISH: Sheer Matte

NET WEIGHT: 1.0 g / 0.035 g

APPLICATION TIPS: “Apply like lip balm. And you’re done!”

Deja Vu is a pink nude. This is the most wearable shade for me. It also has the nicest formula because it does not emphasize my lip lines. The blotted lips formula is like a balm but it is not too creamy when you apply it and there is no visible shine. It is best to exfoliate the lips first so that there will be no visible flakes and lip lines especially for those with dry lips.

Lexi is a cool-toned red. I love this shade too but, it has the driest formula. It is a bit hard to apply over the lips and can emphasize lip lines and flaky bits. Having a prepped lips is really a must for this shade. I love this color because it is not too bright and won’t attract too much attention.

Exotic is an orange-red shade. This can easily brighten the face but it is not too shocking to wear. It is still drier than Deja Vu but better than Lexi. It can also emphasize lip lines so prepping is a must too.

All of the three shades are sheer but buildable. I usually wear two to three layers when I want its full opacity. These lipsticks are best for people who do not want to wear bold lipsticks and those that are on the go. They really live up to its name “blotted” lips because it is as if you blotted the lips with a tissue but without the hassle of doing it.

Longevity is good since these stays put and do not disappear over time. The color fades when I eat or drink because they do not claim to be kiss proof nor long-wearing. Will I recommend? Yes! I think for $5.00, you will get a lipstick that is easy to wear, not too bold, and very travel-friendly!

Hope that this review helped! Be sure to come back for more beauty bits from me!
