Since I’ve learned more about makeup, I got hooked into the contour, bronze, and highlight craze. Those techniques give my face dimensions since I have a round face, and I look pale after I have applied foundation or makeup base. I bought the Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base because popular YouTube Stars, Estee Lalonde, and Lisa Eldridge raved about it. I have this in my makeup cabinet for a while now but, I thought that it is definitely still worth sharing with you!
I bought this from YesStyle.com for a whopping $60, but it is only $50.00 at Chanel Website. Unfortunately, I can’t confirm if it is available and how much it is in the Philippines.
This light, cream-gel bronzer leaves the skin with a velvety finish and a beautiful sun-kissed look.
Mineral waxes and powders ensure effortless application and a mattifying effect.
HOW TO APPLY
Apply SOLEIL TAN DE CHANEL — using Foundation Brush #6, Blending Foundation Brush #7 or the Touch-Up Brush — to sculpt and contour the face, or as a concealer for deeper skin tones. Wear it alone to enhance the complexion, or over foundation for a hint of outdoor radiance.
Packaging is a hard, frosted plastic and a twist cap to open. It has a protective cover to keep the product fresh and to prevent it from drying out. The cream does not move inside so it is ok to travel with but, I never do that since it is quite bulky. It has 30 grams of product so I won’t be able to use it up fast. A little goes a long way actually, so it is worth the spend, I guess.
This product is not meant for contour but rather, bronze up the face on its own, or as a base for bronzer. I usually do the latter. It is creamy and it melts when I use my fingers to apply it or dot it all over my face. I enjoy using my Real Techniques sculpting brush or any dense brush in applying this product all over my face.
It has tiny specks of fine, gold glitters but, it is not noticeable at all on the face. It is very easy to blend, and it looks very natural on my skin. It can be easily built up too, so you can adjust how intense you want it to look on your face.
It looks more orange on my swatch above compared to the other bronzers, but if you use it sparingly, then it will look very natural and sun-kissed! What I love most about this product is how long it stays on my face. I can wear it all day and it won’t look faded especially if I set it with a powder. It has a very faint perfume scent, but barely noticeable or bothersome for me. It sets to a MATTE finish and it won’t feel greasy or oily all day.
Do I recommend it? YES! If you want your face to stay bronzed and chiseled all day, then this is a very nice product to add to your makeup collection!
Hope you enjoyed reading & see you on the next one!
