If you’re a reader for a while, you would know that I love applying eye makeup a lot. I love to wear different shades and do different techniques. Before I apply my powder eyeshadows, I always make sure that I wear a primer or any cream eyeshadow underneath because it really helps prolong the wear time, and there’s something that my eyeshadows can stick to. This step is a must especially if you have oily eyelids. That’s why I bought these e.l.f. Essential Smudge Pot Cream Eyeshadows.

These pots were added on my stash not too long ago, but I haven’t posted about them yet because I always get distracted with new makeup releases. If you are a newbie in applying eyeshadows, cream eyeshadows will be your best friends! You’ll know why later on. 🙂

The first shade is Brownie Points. It is a coppery bronze shade that glides on very smoothly and very pigmented in one swipe! Of the two that I have, this is my favorite. It is my favorite because I can wear this alone, and the shade is perfect for everyday!

This shade is called Ocean Bound. It is a dark blue shade with silver shimmers in it. This shade for me is better as an eyeliner because it didn’t glide on as smoothly as Brownie Points when I swatched it. It looked kinda patchy on my swatch and it needs to be layered on for full opacity. I very much enjoy using it as an eyeliner because it makes my eyes pop!

I told you earlier that cream eyeshadows are newbies’ best friends because it takes less effort to complete an eye look! As you can see, I only applied Brownie Points as my lid shade and blended on my crease and lower lashes, and then I applied Ocean Bound as my eyeliner and my eye look was complete. I can do this eye look for only a minute or two!

I paired my eye look with my CoverGirl LipPerfection Lipcolor in Divine for a bolder look, but you can wear a nude lipstick too if you like. Longevity won’t be an issue because these cream eyeshadows last a long time. I took the picture above after maybe more than 12 hours! Yes, I sleep late after work. 🙂

By the way, the packaging is plastic, which is more travel-friendly than the Color Tattoos glass pots. It is not an issue for me because until now, the cream eyeshadows haven’t dried out. It doesn’t dry as fast as the Color Tattoos or MAC Paint Pots.

I don’t think this is available in our local counters but if it’s not too much of a hassle for you to buy online, then go get these! If you can’t, then the Maybelline Color Tattoos are the next best things!

Hope you enjoyed reading this review! Until next time!
