My Top Formal Dress Picks as a Wedding Guest 2015

1418526_76100674

It’s the wedding month once again, and I am excited especially because this is the same month that I got married two years ago! Time flies when you’re having fun, right? šŸ˜›

Anyhow, today’s post as you’ve seen on the title are my top picks to wear as a wedding guest. I always worry about what I should wear during formal events like weddings because I am not used to wearing dresses, or skirts for everyday. You will rarely catch me wearing a dress on ordinary days because I don’t think I look good in it, or I am just really after comfort all the time! I’ve known a few people who wear dresses all the time. It’s really cool how different we all are. I wish I could be more comfortableĀ wearingĀ them.

Before we begin, let us first learn how to dress for our body shape. Knowing what your body shape is, makes it easier to find the perfect dress to wear! I feel like I fall into the Oval category. I wish that I am in the hourglass category, though. Hahaha!

Coming up are the dresses that I see myself wearing on formal events such as weddings!

Trumpet/Mermaid Tulle Scoop Neck Beading Sweep Train Formal Dresses

For me, this dress is best for “Hourglass” body shape. It will really emphasize the curves of the body. It looks so classy, and glamorous! I also see plus size women wearing this style of dress especially because it flatters the curves of the waist and hips! I also like the same style. I’ve worn a similar style way back my Junior Prom. It was so many years ago! Don’t ask!

A-line Chiffon Sweetheart Beading Floor-length Formal Dresses

I love this dress! SinceĀ I fall in the Oval body shape category, this A-line dress with a sweetheart necklineĀ will suit me well. A-line dresses will actually look great on almost anyone because it helps emphasize the waist line more. This dress looks very elegant, and the color is very fun and youthful.

A-line Chiffon One Shoulder Split Front Floor-length Formal Dresses

This is another of my favorite. The accent strap really makes a difference because it gives more life to the dress. I love the sweetheartĀ neckline, and that slit adds some spice to the dress withoutĀ revealing too much. I also love how flowy it is, and the color is just classy!

A-line Chiffon Bateau Sashes Ribbons Floor-length Formal Dresses

Another A-line dress! Hehe.Ā I love the vertical folds design so much because it will make me look slimmer. It also looks so flowy and comfortable. It will also emphasize the waist because of the belt accessory.

I am loving the color of this dress! I also like the intricate beadings on the top part. This looks great on morning weddings, and summer weddings! The waist line is emphasized too so this one will really look flattering on anyone.

Those are all my top picks! There are a lot more dresses to choose from so don’t forget to visitĀ Formal Dresses AustraliaĀ particularly theĀ Long Formal DressesĀ section for more inspirations!

I am in love with the first dress, but really really really like the colour of the deep plum one. (Can you tell I’m not that big a fan of pastels?) I wish we had more occasions to dress up in pretty clothes.
