FOTD: Cool Tones using Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette!

Cool Naked 2 (4)

It’s not that I am uninspired to do blogs lately but I just didn’t have the time to take photos last weekend because I was on a vacation. It’s really easier for me to do Face of the Day posts because I love to paint my face differently everyday. Like on today’s post, I busted out my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette because I miss it so much.

I have all the Naked palettes because for me, they are so precious to collect. The three Naked palettes can create different looks depending on what colors you feel like using on a particular day. The Naked 1 palette has warm tones, Naked 2 has cool tones, and Naked 3 has pink/rosy tones. Even if the Naked 2 is not given much love in the beauty world, I still love to use it to create cool-toned eyeshadow looks. I have a very warm skin tone, but when I use this palette, my eyes stand out more because of the contrast. I don’t know if you’ll agree with me, but you’ll see.

All the Naked 3 palettes have great pigmentation, buttery texture, and have long-lasting effect. I still love using any primer underneath because my eyelids are oily. For today’s look, I mainly used three colors, aside from the usual highlight color. The eyeshadow look I did is very easy to do even for beginners. The key to a great makeup look is to BLEND! BLEND! BLEND! well. Here we go…

The eyeshadows that I used were Suspect (not on the picture because I forgot! Ugh!), Snakebite (Left), Busted (Middle), and Verve (Right).

Suspect was applied all over the lids, while I used Snakebite over the outerlid, and crease. I used Busted to intensify the crease, and over the lower lashes. Verve is over the middle of my eyelids because that technique helps catch the light when you blink! I learned that from Teni, of YouTube. I used my Eye of Horus Goddess Pencil in Charcoal Obsidian over my upper lash line as eyeliner. I also used the shade Nubian Brown over my lower waterline. For inner corner eye highlight, I used Beyu Color Biggie in 310. I used my Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real Mascara again today because I really like it.

On my lips, I mixed two shades of the OCC Lip TarsVintage and Kava Kava. For my cheeks, I used Benefit Cosmetics Hoola bronzer, and MAC Sheertone Blush in Blushbaby.
