After getting the Teal Malachite Goddess Pencil from my last Glamourbox, I knew I had to get more shades. I already have a lot of black eye liner pencils so I searched for “alternatives”. Luckily, I saw this Eye of Horus Alternative Smokey Eye Pack from the Glamourbox Website so I added it on my cart, and the rest was history. It was that time when they had the 20% discount code, so I got the pack on sale, and when it was delivered, I even got a free LA Splash Nail Polish worth Php 180!

This set includes three of their top-selling pencils namely Charcoal ObsidianSultry Serpentine and Nubian Brown. It came in the Eye of Horus Gold Makeup Purse with Tweezers and Cosmetic Sharpener too! The retail price is Php 1,990 (without discount) but the value of the pack is Php 2,955!

You know what? These pencils are currently on SALE individually at Glamourbox! Link HERE!

Let us now take a look!

The packaging is simply classy. I love the gold writings on each pencils, plus the caps protect them tightly. The other side of the pencil is a sponge which can be used as a smudger.

Charcoal Obsidian – Awaken that sensual goddess within! The subtle shimmer of this eye pencil will definitely do the trick in making those eyes voluptuous. Its obsidian grey color elusively defines and expands your peepers without smudging or looking too heavy. Wear it out the whole night and watch heads turn!

Sultry Serpentine – Seductive and sensuous. The serpentine was revered in ancient Egypt as representing divinity and aligning the charka’s for prefect unity and enlightenment. A fusion of dark olive pigments, and ancient gold and green micro-shimmer with a Satin Sheen finish, Serpentines creamy incandescent formula glides on without tugging on the lash line – magically enhancing and making your eyes pop.

Nubian Brown – Nubian Goddess Pencil From the Depths of the Nile the untamed essence of the Nubian Princess bestows her gifts of wild smouldering beauty. Matte deepest velvet brown pigments transform the everyday Goddess into an alluring temptress.

I am obsessed! I am glad that I got this pack because it is not like any other eye liner pencils out there. The tiny specks of glitters are too cute and what made each of them unique. Each pencil didn’t feel gritty at all when applied. They are soft, smooth, and richly pigmented eyeliners. I am still going to test if they stay on the waterline though but I believe they will. They held up pretty well only after a few minutes at the back of my hand but can easily be removed using an oil- based makeup remover. Look at the smudge-test video I did below.

I didn’t expect that the pack includes tweezers and sharpener because I obviously did not read the description. Haha! These items are very useful, of course. The tweezers is not a cheap one. It can get the hairs precisely when I used it once to pluck my stray eyebrow hairs. I haven’t used the sharpener yet but it looks like it is well-made too.

Overall, this pack is really worth it! It’s a breath of fresh air from the usual black and brown eyeliners. The Eye of Horus Goddess Pencils cost more than drugstore pencils but the performance makes up for it.

Have a great rest of the week! 🙂
