We all love hauls, don’t we? 🙂 Last year, a new online shopping website launched called BeautyMNL. The happy makeup hoarder in me rejoiced because I can now easily buy MORE makeup that I want with just a few clicks. Some of the brands they offer are not widely available so this website is really a heaven-sent for all beauty junkies like me!

ABOUT BEAUTYMNL
Our Magazine provides fun and insightful articles tailor-fit to the Filipina’s lifestyle, whether it’s finding a good sunscreen for Philippine weather or the best shade of red lipstick to match your skin tone. With the help of our celebrity gurus, we bring you tips, easy how-tos, and great beauty trends you can actually rock in the tropics (promise).
Our Shop, on the other hand, makes everything we talk about immediately accessible to you. We’ve partnered with makeup mavens, skincare savants, hair authorities, and so many other brilliant beauty magicians that we know you’re going to love. Our curated assortment of products lets you stock up on beauty staples, and even get your hands on buzzy miracle cures like Moroccan Argan oil and Korean snail cream.

So in BeautyMNL, you can shop for both high-end and drugstore items easily and most of the time, for a discount. I also love that you can get 20% off your first purchase, and they also ship nationwide.

I didn’t readily buy from the website because the package usually arrives in a plastic pouch instead of a box. I think they are trying to save up for packaging. I fear that some items won’t be well protected if they are only in a plastic pouch. I hope that they will improve on that in the future.

All of the items were not bought at the same time, just to put it out there. Let us now see what I got! 🙂

My very first purchase was the Dior Addict Fluid Stick in 872 Mona Lisette, Php 1,254. Luckily, this was on sale from the original price of 2,000+! It was such a good deal because I have a gift card that I got for 20% off so it means I saved a lot more! I’ve used this lip gloss for a while now, and it was truly money well-spent. It is a gloss that turns into a stain after hours, and it keeps my lips looking plump and hydrated. Glad that I was able to try it.

Dior Addict Fluid Stick 239 Frisson was a follow-up purchase because I want a more everyday shade. This actually looks light on me because the color is milky-peach. I can still use it on its own, but I prefer it over a lipstick or a lip liner.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Pixi by Petra Flawless Beauty Primer in Even Skin, Php 1,430.00 from Liz, and Shari, so I have to try it for myself. I’ve used this primer a couple of times already, and it is true that it gives a luminous glow on my face, and it doesn’t make me oilier. I have an oily T-zone, and nothing has ever worked to control it, so this did not help with that problem either. I think it helps to make my makeup stay longer, especially if I wear powder foundations. I haven’t tried wearing it with a liquid foundation so I can’t comment on that yet.

Sad thing though, the cap was broken when it was delivered. The plastic pouch did not protect it well, although it was inside a bubble wrap. I now fear buying anything that is in a glass bottle because it may have the same fate as this one. I hope that they change the packaging to a box next time.

The NARS Cosmetics Radiant Creamy Concealer in Ginger, Php 1,550.00 is on my wish list since it was released last year. Gladly, the shade Ginger matches me pretty well. It covers my undereye circles perfectly, and it really lasts a long time! I have used it a couple of times already, but I want to use it more to give you a very detailed review. For now, all I can say is that this is really worth the hype!

I bought the Laneige Serum Intense Lipstick in Luminous Red, Php 800+ (Sale!) after reading few reviews about it. I usually buy pigmented lip products but the formula of this lipstick got me really interested. I am now obsessed with serum, so this being a serum for the lips got me really sold. I am so happy that I did, because this lipstick is really god-sent! It has a thin consistency, like applying oil on the lips, but it stains the lips, and keeps it hydrated for a few hours. It may feel dry after it loses the gloss but the stain is still there. Unfortunately, it is already sold out at BeautyMNL, but Luxola* carries Laneige, and I think I will buy a few more shades in the future.

Liquid to matte lipsticks are all the rage now, so I want to explore different brands that sell them. I’ve been curious about the Max Factor Lipfinity Lip Colour so I bought two shades, Charming and So Irresistible, Php 512.00 (Sale!) to try them out. These lipsticks are definitely long-lasting even after meals. The key to applying them is just one or two thin coats. It will feel uncomfortable if more than two because it dries really matte which is expected for its formula. I need to use an oil-based makeup remover to take them out.

So those are all my makeup purchases so far. I still have a lot of makeup on my wish list but I will save them for later. Right now, I am very happy about all my purchases, and how easy-breezy it is to buy from BeautyMNL.

Hope that you enjoyed reading my haul, and let me know if you want detailed reviews of the items I mentioned.

Hope you have a great week!
