Since last post showed an EOTD using this palette, I might as well review and swatch it for you.

I bought this beautiful palette from Luxola.com for Php 771.50 (22 SGD). This is my second palette from Sleek. The first one was the limited edition Aqua Collection Lagoon palette. What I love about this palette is that it is all matte, obviously, plus the variety of colors! It is not like the Urban Decay Naked Basics that is limited to browns, blacks and white. I can’t even imagine how many looks I can create from it. Since I have done an easy eye look from the last post, I tried a very dramatic one this time. It is not a look that I wear everyday, but if only I can. It is not even complicated to do for me. Let’s look closely on the palette now and then on to the look!

Sleek Ultra Mattes Darks Shades 1

Top (L-R): Orbit, Ink, Highness / Bottom (L-R): Thunder, Maple, Flesh

Orbit is a bright teal

Ink is a deep sapphire blue

Highness is a bright purple

Thunder is a medium grey

Maple is an orangey-red

Flesh is a warm flesh-tone shade

Top (L-R): Noir, Dune, Pillow Talk / Bottom (L-R): Paper Bag, Villain, Fern

Noir is a green-black

Dune is a light yellowy-peach flesh tone

Pillow Talk is chalk-white

Paper Bag is a very wearable medium red-brown

Villain is a burgundy with a good amount of pink to it

Fern is a bright forest green

I did not use a primer for the swatches below. The swatches are 1-2 layers. The darker shades are definitely more pigmented. The lighter shades are a little powdery, but the pigmentation is still opaque. Both swatches were taken with flash. I didn’t see a difference if they are taken in natural light probably because they are matte.

To get this look:

First, I applied Dune all over the eyelids up to the brow bone as base. Then,  I blended Ink thoroughly on my crease. I started with a small amount, and built it up until I am satisfied with it. I then applied Highness all over my eyelids. To deepen the outer V (outer eye area), I used Noir. I also applied Ink on outer bottom eye area, and Highness on the inner bottom eye area.

To soften the edges on the crease, I mixed Flesh and Dune. I blended the colors well to diffuse Ink. I used Pillow Talk to highlight the brow bone. I used Noir on my waterline because I can’t find a pencil. :’)

I used the Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Eyeliner to create the cat eyeliner. The mascara I used was the Yves Rocher Sexy Pulp Ultra-volume Mascara.

For the lips, I applied Tarte LipSurgence Natural Matte Lip Tint in Lucky with essence Cookies & Cream Lip Gloss. For the cheeks, I applied Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer, and Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Rose.

I honestly feel like I need to practice more in playing with colors, but it was fun and exciting to create this look! Glad that I had time to experiment with something new. Anyhow, I posted another lip option on my Instagram using Lime Crime Velvetines in Salem after changing to a t-shirt and tying my hair in a bun! I love the lip shade! Hehe.
