Current Beauty Favorites!

Beauty Faves Logo

My last beauty favorites post was way back in January of this year, so today I thought of updating you with all of my latest loves. Some of these items have been staples since I bought them, and some are new discoveries. The weather has been rainy lately so my photos are a bit bad. I usually take photos with natural light, but I shot these inside our room. Well, the point of this post anyway is to show you my favorites, so let’s just go on with that. Enjoy reading, and feel free to comment about your thoughts!

Hurraw Night Treatment Balm / h2O eye oasis Moisture Replenishing Treatment / Avon Anew Vitale Day Cream / Too Cool for School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack

L-R: Hurraw Night Treatment Balm / h2O eye oasis Moisture Replenishing Treatment / Avon Anew Vitale Day Cream / Too Cool for School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack

Hurraw Night Treatment Balm – I bought this lip balm from cutieverse from a set called, SUN AND MOON / DAY AND NIGHT SET, for Php 560. Each balm costs Php 280 and a lot of delicious flavors to choose from! I have two other flavors, chocolate and coconut, and I am so in love with them. The night treatment balm keeps my lips very moisturized. I usually apply it before I go to sleep. When I wake up, my lips are moisturized, and because of that, they rarely chap.

h2O eye oasis Moisture Replenishing Treatment – This was a sample that I got from Sample Room PH. It has a gel-like texture, and my drinks it up quickly. I don’t see a miraculous difference under my eyes but it is enough to moisturize them daily.

Avon Anew Vitale Day Cream – I received this from My First Glamourbox | Avon Special Edition. I find the scent really strong for my face, so I usually apply this on my neck. I feel like it really moisturizes my neck area because of its rich formula.

Too Cool for School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack – This is my first ever sleeping pack, and I am glad that I got it from my BDJ Box for May 2014. This replaces my moisturizer before I sleep. It doesn’t feel heavy on my face, it doesn’t have an overpowering scent, and it did not break me out. When I wake up, my skin is well-moisturized, and it is not greasy. I then just clean my face with a cleanser to remove the sleeping pack.

Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer / Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate / Quick FX No-Shine Mattifier

L-R: Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer / Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate / Quick FX No-Shine Mattifier

Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer – This is a perfect bronzer in terms of shade and staying power. Of all the bronzers that I have tried, this one stays the longest. It doesn’t have an orange tint, and it is richly pigmented. I won’t mind paying more for this because I can’t even tell when I’ll finish the box. 🙂

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate – This is the best brow product for staying power and pigmentation for me. I have worn this for almost 24 hours without retouch. Even if my face gets oily throughout the day, it stays put unless I accidentally touch it. It also has a lot of product so it will last me a long time to finish it up! Very worth it!

Quick FX No-Shine Mattifier – I have heard a lot of buzz about this product, and I agree about the raves. For the price of less than a hundred, it performs well by making my face matter for a decent amount of time. It also helps cover my pores, and easily apply my base.

Tarte Cheek Stain in Blushing Bride / Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector / V&M Minerals Mineral Veil Finishing Powder

L-R: Tarte Cheek Stain in Blushing Bride / Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector / V&M Minerals Mineral Veil Finishing Powder

Tarte Cheek Stain in Blushing Bride – I love this cheek stain not only for its pigmentation, but also for its staying power! I had this on before a badminton game, and after sweating a lot, and constantly wiping my face, it held on! I looked more flushed, and still pretty (ahem!). I usually put this on, and dust a little powder on top for longer wear. My only womp about it is its scent. It is a nice scent, but is a bit strong for my liking.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector – I bought this from an online shop some time ago. I don’t think it became available locally, but this product, particularly the concealer, is the bomb. I think the formula is similar to the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer. It covers my under eye circles well, it doesn’t crease, and stays for a long time.

V&M Minerals Mineral Veil Finishing Powder – I bought this powder on a whim, because the sales associate told me that it will make my skin “Photoshopped”. Lol!  It looks like the Ben Nye Banana Powder, but it is actually better. It really melts on the skin, and it makes my face brighter. It has some luminous particles but barely seen on the face. If I am lazy, I just put a primer and this powder on my face, and I am good to go!

L'Oreal Professionel Mythic Oil

L’Oreal Professionel Mythic Oil – I had used this since I got it from my BDJ Box for August, and I am loving it! The texture is water-like and smells great! It doesn’t weigh my hair down but controls the frizz and volume. I have a very thick hair, and I use this after I air-dry my hair.

Kabuki Brush from Landmark Beauty Section / Empty Watercolor Pans

L-R: Kabuki Brush from Landmark Beauty Section / Empty Watercolor Pans

Kabuki Brush from Landmark Beauty Section – I love using this brush for setting my face with powder. This is super soft, and it doesn’t shed! I bought this for only Php 250! This is such a steal because of its great quality.

Empty Watercolor Pans – I bought this instead of buying a mixing palette. I use this to mix foundations, or to hold products from tubes before I apply them. It is easy to clean with tissue and available at any bookstores!

Zoeva Silk Finish brush / Zoeva Luxe Highlight brush / Zoeva Luxe Cheek Finish brush / Zoeva Concealer Buffer brush

L-R: Zoeva Silk Finish brush / Zoeva Luxe Highlight brush / Zoeva Luxe Cheek Finish brush / Zoeva Concealer Buffer brush

First, sorry for the dirty brushes. So lazy to clean them before taking these photos, so I hope you don’t mind! 🙂 Anyway, I bought the Zoeva Luxe Complete Set from Luxola.com for about Php 6,000+ and boy oh boy, I am in love! The set seems very costly but it is worth every penny!!! The set has 15 of Zoeva’s finest brushes for face and eyes, made from a custom blend of natural and synthetic bristles. I haven’t used all the brushes yet, but here are few of my favorites!

Zoeva Silk Finish brush – This is now my favorite foundation brush! I have to say that it replaced the Real Techniques Buffing Brush and Real Techniques Expert Face brush on the top ranks. It works on liquid and powder products. It is very smooth on the face,  is dense but not stiff to allow bristles to blend the product nicely, and has the perfect shape for blending!

Zoeva Luxe Highlight brush – I use this to set my under eye concealer. It works similarly to the Real Techniques Setting brush but this one has natural bristles. It is so soft just like all the other brushes.

Zoeva Luxe Cheek Finish brush – I prefer natural bristles to apply my blush and bronzer. This brush is super soft (sorry for repeating myself 100x now!) and really blends my blush and bronzer well. Before I got this, my favorite blush and bronzer brush is from the Chic Absolute Kit.

Zoeva Concealer Buffer brush – This brush blends my under eye concealer perfectly! It is like the mini Silk Finish brush and Face Shape brush. Again, the bristles are super soft, dense but not too stiff.

So those are all my current favorites. I want to include a lot on this post, but these items really deserve the spotlight. If you want a more in-depth review of anything, just let me know, and I will do my best to do it for you.

Have a happy hump day!
