“Me” time is something I truly cherish. That means I can do some pampering routines to make me feel and look good. Grooming my nails is one that I enjoy doing from time to time. The nail polish I recently purchased was this Revlon Spiderman Nail Enamel Electric-Chrome Collection in Spidey Sense. I am eyeing this for a long time, but I don’t know why I always let it pass. I got it for a discounted price of Php 225! It was on sale, and the original price was 350, if I recall correctly. This nail polish is a limited-edition shade, but will be on stock until August (per the Sales Associate!). I think I want to get the other shade, Gwen’s Crush too because it is such a stunning purple shade.
Spidey Sense is a coppery red and pink shade with gold shimmers. Since it is a chrome, the colors change at different angles. I tried recording a video to show the chrome effect, but it doesn’t translate well. The photos also don’t capture the chrome effect, but I promise you that it is pretty!

The photo kind of shows the red and pink shade. What I love about this color is that it makes my hands look brighter. At first, I thought that it was too bright for me, but I have grown to love it after a while. It is a deviation from my usual flat, one color shades that I still love, of course.

The problem I had was the bubbles! I didn’t put a base coat, and I think I shook the bottle before I applied it. Since it has a thick formula, the bubbles surfaced after a while.  I also think that the first coat wasn’t dry completely before I added another coat. I should have known better! (Read Avoiding Nail Polish Bubbles for tips!)

I applied one coat of Essence Gel-look Top Coat to smoothen the surface of the nail polish. It had been four days when I reviewed this, and I am happy to report that it doesn’t chip! I think the Essence top coat also influenced the longevity of the nail polish. In general, I love Revlon nail polishes, even without top coats.

Overall, I highly recommend trying out this nail polish for its very unique shade, and its very pretty chrome effect. You can buy this nail polish from Watsons, or SM Beauty Section while stocks last!

Hope you like this post, and See you on my next nail polish review!
