BDJ Box for May 2014 Unboxing: Summer Radiance!

It is scorching hot this May! I feel like this is really the Summer Month! The world really changed a lot since then. It was not this hot before. I even experience having strings of perspiration just by siting down on the couch and it feels like sauna inside my room. I hope that this heat is enough to burn my fats, though! Hahaha!

This weekend, I will be having a trip to the North. I am hoping for a good weather, and of course, lots of FUN! I did not have a lot of activities this summer so I hope the trip makes up for it. I will definitely post on Instagram and Tweet when I can during my trip!

Anyway… it was pure delight when I went home last Saturday because aside from shopping a lot, I saw a package sitting on top of the table. I screamed (in my mind, LOL!) because I was so excited to check what I got inside. I already knew that it is the BDJ Box just because. Hehe.

The theme for this month of May is Summer Radiance. The beauty products inside were picked to bring back the glowing skin. There are several items from head to toe. Let us now check what I got!

Like my last month’s Glamourbox, this box is packed and heavy! It contains generous amounts of products. Below are more pictures and what I think about them.

Organix Hair Care Set Shampoo & Conditioner, Php 499, 13oz & Keratin Oil, Php 499, 3.3oz. The box contains six pairs of shampoo and conditioner, and two sachets of the Keratin Oil. I love trying out different hair care products so I am glad that they included this. I have been seeing these every time I shop at Watson’s and the beauty section, but did not pick it up because it is in a big bottle, and I do not want to end up wasting it, in case I do not like it. I have already tried the Keratin Oil Shampoo & Conditioner. After air-drying my hair, I noticed that after several hours, my hair is still tamed and shiny, plus it stayed smelling fresh. It is not an overpowering smell like when you pass by someone, and they can tell what shampoo you used. Hehe.

Dermal Sheet Masks (2 Sheets, Php 140). When I attended the BDJ Box Social Event, Barbie Chan introduced this new facial sheet mask. I am a fan of these because of the refreshing feeling I get when I use it. I also like how it leaves my face moisturized and smooth. Even my husband loves to use facial sheet masks, so if I liked this, then I will be hoarding them at the Beauty Bar.

Too Cool for School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack (Php 689, 100ml). This is my first ever sleeping pack. It promises to moisturize, exfoliate, and shield skin from our dry environment. I am actually unsure how to use it at first but I found this helpful article by Isabella of MusingsofaMuse. Sleeping packs are supposed to be applied before sleeping, and washed off when you wake up. I am excited to try it! I will let you know in another post once I have tried this out.

Godiva LicoWhite Whitening Lotion (Php 120, 100ml). There are about twelve (?) sachets inside the box. This lotion protects, moisturizes and evens out discoloration caused by aging, scarring and pregnancy. It contains Glabridrin, a skin whitening ingredient from licorice extract that is effective and gentle on the skin. I didn’t know that this lotion promises a lot but it is worth a try. I am pretty sure that this lotion will work as it claims.

Godiva LicoWhite Antiperspirant Deodorant (Php 79, 40ml). I have been using the Antiperspirant Deodorant, and out of all the brands I have tried, Godiva is the best! I do not have a bad case of dark underarms but they are not perfect. Godiva made it smoother, and it lightened some lines/scars caused by shaving.

Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamel (Php 325 each). I am glad that they included nail polishes in here, just about time when I am beginning to love to paint my nails again! I have bought a matte top coat so I am excited to have any shades of nail polish to try the top coat on. I wished that I got a lighter shade than the maroon one though.

LOTSA Vouchers!

Avon Free Belle Underwire Custom Cleavage Dream Brassiere. (valued at Php 599). I hope they have my size, but unfortunately, I no longer wear wired bras as advised by a doctor, to prevent breast cancer. I can’t prove that it does, but just to be sure. I also feel that full non-wired bras are more comfortable to use.

Bifesta Php 100 off on all Bifesta Cleansing Lotion All Variants. I will definitely redeem this! I have tried a Bifesta sample before, and I liked it!

Dr. CRB 50% off on Reshape Ultra or Caci Non-surgical Face Lift. Nah! I do not want this voucher. Let me know if you want this!

idonails Free Php 300 Add-ons for every mani & pedi. I live far away from Eastwood, so I am not sure if I will be able to redeem this.

Lucido-L Php 50 off on all Lucido-L Variants. I haven’t tried this yet, but I will most likely redeem it.

PAC Make Over Voucher worth Php 1,500. I do not know how this works. I wished it is a Php 1,500 worth of products na lang.

Overall, this box is a-OK. I am really into beauty products more than skin care, but still, this box is worth more than the Php 580 monthly subscription fee. Hopefully, next month’s box is going to be packed with great brands and beauty products! Hehe.

Did you subscribe to the BDJ Box yet? How do you find this month’s box?

I wasn’t really that much impressed with the May box. Good thing I didn’t get this month…though, I’d say, that voucher for Bifesta is good. I like Bifesta as makeup remover. It cleans good and is inexpensive. And the TCFS sleeping pack looks interesting.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings too, but so far, I am still happy that they are things that I can use. I am also excited to try the sleeping pack. I will surely get that Bifesta makeup remover. Hopefully, we will be WOWed again on the next box. 🙂

Interesting box. At first glance it’s just full of vouchers, however a big chunk of that is the organix sampler. I am currently using an organix conditioner and I love it! It would be totally nice to try out other scents/variants.

Buti nga nilagyan ng Organix. I always see it at the dept. store but the bottle is too big. I am picky kasi sa mga hair products, but after I tried one sachet, ok siya. 🙂
