Unboxing Saladbox April 2014: Regatta Exclusive Box

My blogging schedule is out of whack lately because I have been very busy with important events in my life. I am happy, especially because I am spending more time with my family. We celebrated my mom’s birthday on the last week of April. We prepared a surprise birthday party for her, and it was very successful! If you follow me on Instagram, I posted her reaction to our surprise. It was a very happy moment for all of us.

The week after, we also had a family outing. It was just near our house in Rizal. We just spent half our day there, because the place was too crowded, and the sun will burn us! Hehe. Anyway, I hope I can put up more posts this week so that I don’t cram that much. I also miss being on schedule. My reviews and ideas are piling up, so hope you’ll stick with me! Let us now move on to our main topic, ‘k? 🙂

Last March, I reviewed the Skin Food Exclusive box. That box sparked my interest back with Saladbox. I did not review all the three boxes that I received from them from the last quarter of 2013, because I do not want to share negativity to my readers. I was very skeptical to resubscribe at first, but after reading Yette’s review of the April box, I knew I have to get it! I thought the Php 333/3 boxes was over, so I got my box for the regular price of Php 500 plus Free Shipping. I do not mind though, because the box is worth more than that. Let us now check what are the products inside!

Photo 5-4-14, 3 46 31 PMI am a perfume junkie (aside from being a makeup junkie!). So getting a new scent in a bottle already sold me. I usually buy perfumes at the mall because I want to smell them first before I buy them. This time, I gambled, and this Regatta 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Eeu de Toilette for Woman, Php 425, did not disappoint. I do not love love the scent, but I like how fresh and citrus-y it is. Inside the box is a Limited Edition Charm Bracelet too, but I did not take a picture of it. 😛

Photo 5-4-14, 3 54 44 PMNext are these two Regatta lip balms, Php 85 each. I love lip balms more than lip glosses. Because I wear different lip products, my lips tend to dry out. The lip balm was the first item that I tried out from the bunch. You can see from the above picture that the packaging was already ripped off. Hihihi. The lip balms smell good, but the moisturizing effect is just ok. The packaging is very cute though! Look at the video below. 😀

Photo 5-4-14, 4 09 23 PMI love a sunblock that comes with a spray instead of the tube/pump type. It is more convenient to use, and has less wastage. This Regatta Sunblock Spray, Php 245, has SPF 70 UVA/UVB! I am so excited to use this on my next trip. It doesn’t have a strong smell, it dries quickly, but leaves a white stain (?) /trace when I tested it on my skin.

Photo 5-4-14, 4 08 50 PMI got this Regatta Special Edition Wooden Comb instead of the mirror. I like the mirror more though, but this comb is very travel-friendly, and it doesn’t hurt my scalp when I used it. This comb is not suitable for me because I have a very thick hair. I might as well give this to my husband.

Photo 5-4-14, 4 07 04 PMAlso inside the box is this Regatta 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Eeu de Toilette for Man. It contains about 7ml, if I recall correctly. It smells fresh and citrus-y too, and if my husband will not like this, I might just keep it for myself. Hehe.

Here is the summary of what the box contains:

Photo 5-4-14, 4 13 45 PMOverall, I think Saladbox is back on the game! They are making some noise because of the two latest exclusive boxes that they have released. I am now excited about what the May box contains. Hopefully, they will continue to move up so that they will be able to win back their original subscribers. Saladbox was my first subsciption box, and I will be more than happy to see them succeed! Naks!

I hope I was able to keep you awake with my post here. Hehe!

Have a great week ahead!!!

I think Saladbox has been on point in their last two boxes. I hope they maintain this because it bums me out when I receive random crap. Haha! I especially like the Skin Food one because I fell in love with everything in it. Hiyang na hiyang ako sa emulsions and toners I had to purchase full size bottles. 🙂
