MAC Sheertone Blush in Blushbaby Review and Swatches

MAC Blushbaby CoverHear Ye! Hear Ye! I present to you, my very first MAC Blush after 29 years of existence! What an achievement. HAHAHA! ๐Ÿ˜€ย Oh well,ย better late than never! ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, I chose the shade Blushbabyย because I want to own a neutral blush because I think I do not have one from my massive collection yet. I also searched the ever reliable Google, and found Beauty Reductionista’s blog about Neutral Blushes.ย I initially wanted Benefit Dallas but the Sales Assistant at Benefit Cosmetics in Rustan’s said that it will already be phased out. It is still available in the official website though, so I am confused. Hopefully, I will own that as well because I lurrrve Benefit Cosmetics! ๐Ÿ˜€

What is a neutral blush, anyway?ย The answer is, it depends. Neutral depends on your skin tone. But generally, they are the brown shades, with a hint of rose. It looks au naturel,ย and it can also be used for contouring.

The packaging is the same as all other permanent shades. Hard, but sturdy plastic. You will lift the lid to open it up. The colorย appears to be darker, and mauvey on the picture, but it is lighter than that. It is described asย Beige-Pinkย on MAC’s website.

Photo 4-6-14, 5 20 33 PMIt has a sheer coverage or pigmentation (obviously!), but very buildable. You can layer it several times without looking clownish. This powder lasts a long time on my cheeks, about eight hours now, as I am writing this. It is very soft to the touch, but a bit powdery when using a brush.

I should’ve worn very bright lips or red lips here, don’t you think?!

Overall, I highly recommend this blush! This is perfect for everyday use, and it works with any lipstick shade. I am wondering what shade I will get next? Hihihi!

What is your favorite MAC Blush? Let me know! ๐Ÿ™‚
