Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms (The Final Installment)

Photo 3-9-14, 2 51 54 PMHi, everyone! This is the final installment of my review and swatches of the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms. I think the best way to describe these matte balms is that the darker the shade, the better. The shades that I have left are Complex, Elusive, Striking and Shameless. These matte balms sell for Php575 on Revlon Counters, while they come cheaper from online sellers. You can refer back to my previous posts here, and here for more details.

SWATCHES

Complex is a peachy-caramel nude shade. I think this is the lightest shade from the collection. Suits light or fair-skinned girls. This shade washes me out, and it applies patchy.

Next is Elusive. This is a cool-toned light to medium pink. I think this works well on light and fair-skinned girls. It applies patchy on my lips, and it looks too light for my morena skin tone but, I still like this shade better than complex, for everyday use.

Elusive

Striking is a neutral red shade, but it looks orangey-red on my lips. This does not apply as patchy as the other two above, and it will work on any skin tone. Striking is another shade that I can recommend aside from Standout and Sultry.

Last, but not the least, Shameless. Shameless is a deep purple, and the most intense of all the shades. This shade is very pigmented like Standout and Sultry, but it is not really for everyday use unless you like to wear vampy looks all day, everyday. You can apply one layer, and blend it with your finger for just a slight hint of color. Since the Pantone Color of the Year is Radiant Orchid, you can mix this color with light pink to achieve that shade. 😉

Shameless

So this ends my review of this collection. I am giving away the shades that does not suit my skin tone. I like 5 out of 10 shades from the collection. I definitely recommend Elusive, Sultry, Standout, Striking and Shameless. I think Audacious is also a good shade, but I did not buy it because it is super bright orange, and I am pretty sure I am rarely going to wear that.

I hope you liked my three-parts review of these Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms.

Did you grab any? Let me know your thoughts! 🙂
